PostNord TPL Finland operates across the Nordic region with innovative logitics solutions and value-added services

Close to 70 customers in a wide number of segments, over 200 employees and 65,000 square meters spread over five units. This is how PostNord TPL's Finnish TPL operations can be briefly summarized. Jan von Zweygbergk, Head of PostNord TPL Finland, has held a large number of roles during his almost ten years within the company and tells us more about an operation with the entire Nordic as a market area.

It was in April 2023 that the decision on a Nordic organization was made in line with a new business strategy. Initially, the Danish TPL operations were integrated and at the turn of the year 2023-2024, PostNord's TPL operations were integrated into PostNord TPL.

– I started as responsible for the processes, as a development manager. Gradually, my responsibility has expanded to include all processes on the TPL side in Finland. In addition to that, I have had operational assignments at our unit in Turku and later in Vantaa.

Jan says that he sees great opportunities in now being part of PostNord TPL, with the whole of the Nordics as a market area.

– Our customers have high expectations of us and they should have that. I really believe in PostNord TPL and our great potential. With the entire Nordic region as our market area, we reach out even more broadly and I look positively on the fact that we can now offer global customers Nordic solutions.

 

Customer focus and flexibility

 

Jan emphasizes that one of the main strengths of the Finnish TPL business is the broad experience of customers in many different segments. Therefore, they have the knowledge and opportunity to support customers in everything from dangerous goods to online stores.

– We have skilled staff who have the experience needed to support our customers in the right way. In addition, we offer customers a wide range of value-enhancing services. It can be a challenge to staff with fluctuating volumes, as many of our customers have, but in that work we have really succeeded!

A couple of years ago, a decision was made about a WMS change, which is now being implemented. Jan describes the decision as a good example of PostNord TPL's investment ability.

– The replacement of the WMS system has had a significant role on the entire operation. It increases the customer experience and demonstrates our competitiveness. In addition, it is in line with our business strategy and our customer promise.

In conclusion, Jan reflects on the past year and the work ahead.

– It has been an intense year that has meant major changes and I am proud of everything we have achieved. Now I look forward to continuing to develop our Finnish TPL business and our Nordic offer together with all the fantastic colleagues!
