We have reached the goal!

In 2021 an extensive energy audit of PostNord TPL’s 22 logistics properties was initiated. The goal was to identify energy inefficiencies and address them with modern and energy-efficient solutions. Nighttime inspections, mappings and action plans, every effort – big or small – has contributed to reduced energy consumption, improved working conditions, and enhanced sustainability.

After four years of work, we have now completed the energy audit of our property portfolio – and we have exceeded the goal by a significant margin. All 22 properties included in the program have undergone a thorough review, and the results are clear: energy consumption per square meter has decreased by an impressive 30% since 2021.

The audit has provided concrete insights and measures, from small adjustments like optimizing lighting and closing doors to larger initiatives such as reducing heating and improving operations. The energy audit is an important complement to the statutory energy mapping (EKL).

– By focusing on eliminating energy waste and increasing awareness, we have not only improved our environmental impact but also streamlined our operations. The program now continues to ensure that all new properties undergo the same process within two years, says Carl Archenholtz, Head of Sustainability, PostNord TPL.

Small actions can make a big difference, and the energy audit has shown that it is entirely possible to operate properties in energy-efficient ways!
