PostNord TPL is leading the transition towards sustainable logistics services
The next decade will determine the future of how we want our world to be. As the industry’s leading player, we have a responsibility to be at the forefront of the climate transition.
PostNord TPL is investing in automated waste management
In partnership with Rocla AGV Solutions, we have launched a project to automate waste management – an efficient and smart solution that will help us meet our ambitious sustainability goals. Watch the video about our joint project here!
Our charging station for trucks is now open
In collaboration with Einride, we have built Norrköping's first semi-public charging station for heavy vehicles at our Malmölandet warehouse. The initiative enables greater utilization of heavy electric trucks in our transportation streams.
The charger is intelligent, which means it will be able to allocate energy to the vehicle with the greatest need. The maximum power is 300 kW, and the energy will primarily be sourced from batteries that we charge with locally produced solar energy from the roof from our warehouse Malmölandet.
We continue our sustainability journey and welcome Sweden's first Regional BEV to our distribution network
The BEV truck (Battery Electric Vehicle) is specifically designed for regional long-distance transport and has an extensive capacity compared with previous models of electric vehicles.
The truck will do distribution for our customer BAUHAUS and will be loaded with goods from our warehouse in Norrköping, Region East.
We work with sustainable facilities
In 2023 Husqvarna moved into a new modern warehouse in Stigamo, where PostNord TPL operates the automated facility for spare parts and accessories. A boost for Husqvarna, but also for PostNord TPL's staff. The new facility has automated systems, which means a different way of working. There is less forklift driving, for example, which also means a better working environment.
To increase well-being, a gym has been installed, and the open layout provides a good overview and visibility. The automated systems in the warehouse are controlled by a complex IT setup, where the system suggests suitable packaging. Sealing, labeling, and sorting are also done automatically. Furthermore, the warehouse is energy-efficient, with updated lighting and a lower heating demand.
Winner of “VR-venture of the year”
We are constantly developing new and innovative solutions!
In 2023, PostNord TPL won the “VR-venture of the year” award at the Swedish Learning Awards for our VR training in packaging technology.
Exploiting the potential of VR is part of our continued investment in OHS, technology and ergonomics. For example, the training in packaging technology teaches users what sustainable packaging involves and how we can minimize the amount of air in deliveries.
We are fully committed
PostNord TPL is fully committed to achieving a circular economy, which we are doing by creating a completely fossil fuel-free logistics chain (as quickly as we possibly can!).
For us, combating climate change is anything but a burden. It gives us a competitive advantage today that will bring us success tomorrow.
We are acting now to reduce the climate impact for future generations, even if this is not always aligned with our own short-term interests. By using our creativity and resources wisely, we aim to ensure that net-zero emissions underpin our entire operation. Likewise, we will do everything we can to help our customers become fossil fuel-free. And when we have difficulty finding the solution ourselves, we will collaborate with others. We are applying a long-term approach but acting now. Step by step.

"We’re very focused on reducing our carbon footprint at PostNord TPL, which is why solar panels feel like the right approach. Installing solar roof panels is an excellent solution for large-scale logistics facilities."
